Hi friends, Today's featured recipe is Katahal ki sabzi or jackfruit sabzi. I like jackfruit a lot whether it is stir fried or curried. I love it either ways. These days you can easily get jackfruit in market . My mom always serves Katahal sabzi with Chana dal parathas (dalbhari ) and kheer. In Uttarpradesh , there is a local festival when we cook Katahal sabzi , dalbhari and kheer. This festival is known as Ganga Dasshehara.

Hi friends ! This weekend , I made one of my favorite South Indian dishes which is Masala dosa. I don't know why but I love to make dosa at home even though making dosa is a long process. Masala dosa is my family's favorite that is why I started making dosa batter at home rather than store bought .

Aloo jeera is very simple , quick yet delicious recipe. This is perfect recipe for my weekends when I don't want to cook complete meal like dal rice ,roti and sabzi. This sabzi goes perfectly with roti , paratha , puri and dal-rice.  Even I would say it's just perfect for traveling. If you want to carry some food just pack some aloo jeera with paraths and puris. Even It doesn't spill out of lunch boxes.

Chole or chickpeas curry  is one of very popular punjabi dishes and one of my favorite recipes that I often cook. You can find Chole or chana masala in every restaurant all over India . Usually Chole is served with Bhatura or Puri.

Today I cooked Bhindi ki kadhi for lunch. My family loves this kadhi. This recipe is another variation of kadhi where we don't make pakoras. In this recipe we sauté okra and simmer it into gravy of  gramflour and yoghurt .

Curry leaves are one of the most common herbs which we use in our daily cooking. It is commonly used as seasoning and adds special flavor to every dish. It's also known as kadi patta. I hail from UP where most   dishes are made with the tadka of  onion , garlic or cumin seed. As far as I know my mom hardly use curry leaves. After marriage when I came to CG , I started adding curry leaves. I learned preserving curry leaves when we moved to abroad where Indian grocery stores are either very less or miles away. So how many times one can make a trip to stores for curry leaves. Here what I do to preserve curry leaves ......

Kaddu ki sabzi

Here again very simple and popular sabzi !!! Kaddu ki sabzi. Kaddu is also known as Kumhda,yellow squash or pumpkin. This recipe is very  simple but delicious. This recipe does not need more ingredients. This sabzi taste awesome with pooris. In this recipe , I am going to add potatoes too. So you can say this is the recipe of Aloo kaddu ki sabzi !.

Sehjan or munga ki sabzi / Drumstick curry

Today I am going to share a recipe of Sehjan or munga ki sabzi. Munga is very popular and seasonal vegetable in UP and CG. People use moonga in sambar and rasam as well .Usually It is cooked with potatoes in tomato curry. This sabzi goes with rice and roti very well.
