 Homemade Mac and Cheese is a classic recipe prepared with macaroni (elbow pasta) and creamy sauce made with flour, milk, butter and cheese.Mac and Cheese is a very popular comfort food among kids because it is very creamy, smooth and delicious. This Mac and Cheese recipe is incredibly easy and this is how I love to prepare Mac and Cheese at home. In this recipe , I used mild sharp cheddar cheese. So it is totally up to your preference. Any cheese that melts well works excellent with Mac and Cheese. Ingredients Macaroni or Elbow pasta 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese 1 cup Unsalted butter 1 tbs All purpose flour 2 tbs Milk 1.5 cups Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp Onion powder 1/2 tsp (optional) Garlic powder 1/4 tsp (optional) Salt 1/2 tsp (according to taste) Method Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.  Add macaroni or elbow pasta. Raw banana or Kaccha kela  is also known as Plantain . Here, I am sharing a very quick and easy recipe of spicy plantain curry . Whenever I buy plantains , I usually make plantain curry this way . This recipe is again another easy recipe like my other recipes . Here Ingredients are very simple and easily available in kitchen as well. Plantains are easily available in local markets and supermarkets. However it gives me a good alternate for lunch box . Everyone in my family loves to eat plantain curry .

Kheksi or Spiny gourd is a very popular seasonal vegetable and also known as Kantola . Kheksi or Kantola belongs to bitter gourd family but it is not as bitter in taste at all. Kheksi or Spiny gourd is seen in local vegetable market during monsoon only. Nowadays, we can easily get Kheksi in local markets or supermarkets. In our family , we all love to eat Kheksi ki sabzi or Kheksi stir fry . We can serve Kheksi ki sabzi as a side dish with dal-rice and taste amazing. Kheksi stir fry recipe is very easy and simple to cook. We only need five ingredients  ,  Kheksi , oil , onion , green chillies and salt to make amazingly delicious stir fry.

Suran is also known as jimikand or elephant foot yam or yam . Jimikand is very healthy vegetable and rich with minerals , vitamins and dietary fiber. It has ritual purpose of eating suran sabzi on Diwali festival. Jimikand or yam helps in maintaining digestive system functioning and promotes weight loss by reducing bad cholesterol. Suran or Jimikand / Yam is available throughout year . So Jimikand sabzi / Yam curry is a nice change to regular veggies.

Today, I am going to share the recipe of  karela fry sabzi. Karela is also known as bittergourd in english. As the name implies ,it tastes bitter yet it is packed with many nutrients especially for diabetes. Karela has blood cleansing properties as well. There are so many people who do not like bittergourd because of its bitter taste . But we can balance its bitter taste by adding onoin , tomatoes and even some people add jaggery too. This karela sabzi recipe is very simple and you need only few ingredients which you always have in your kitchen. I cook this sabzi every week and goes with dal-rice or roti perfectly.

Hi friends , I am back after long long time with a delicious recipe which is Stuffed eggplants. Bharwa baingan or Stuffed eggplant is one of the most popular stuffed vegetables in North India. This recipe is my family recipe . My mom always cook these stuffed eggplants. Even when she came to visit us , she cooked bharwa baingan for us too. Stuffed eggplants are perfect side dish in summer because this dish stays 2-3 days without refrigeration . Whenever we travel by train , we always carry stuffed eggplants in lunch box. In India , every region have their own way of making bharwa baingan. There are some more variation in the spices used to stuff the eggplants. Some people use grinded panchphoran masala.  The spices that I am using to stuff the eggplants are very simple, easily available in every Indian kitchen and Indian grocery store.

Today's recipe is Pakora kadhi or Pakore wali kadhi. Pakore wali kadhi is very popular North Indian dish. There are so many variations in cooking kadhi and this recipe is most popular among all. Pakora kadhi goes with rice very well and taste delicious . You can have pakora kadhi with roti , naan or parathas too. People in every state have their own kadhi recipe. Today's recipe is Chole Paneer or Cottage cheese and Chickpeas curry. In India , Chole is very popular delicious dish and by adding paneer , the whole dish becomes scrumptious . This dish is one of my favorite dishes because both the main ingredients chickpeas and cottage cheese  are my favorite . Even when I cooked this dish for first time , it came out so well and delicious . So its very easy recipe . Everyday is perfect to cook Chole paneer.

Stuffed okra or bharwa bhindi is very easy side dish recipe which can be ready in no time. So whenever you get bored of eating usual okra curry or sabzi , Stuffed okra is perfect for that change. In this recipe , I used very ordinary spices and you can moderate it according to your preference . If want to add more heat , you can add more chilli powder or you can add less chilli powder.

Potato, peas and carrot dry curry is a very simple yet delicious dish . I have had this curry in my hostel mess for the first time. In Punjab, aloo gajar matar sabzi is very famous recipe and it's an everyday dish . We had this curry with parathas and it tastes awesome. You can have potato peas and carrot curry with parathas or rotis or any flat bread. This curry can be a good side dish with dal-rice.

Hi friends ! I am back with some amazing recipes after very busy days. Last few months , I have been so busy to post a recipe . Today I cooked such an amazing dish and I couldn't resist myself to post this recipe. This amazing dish is Lauki ke kabab or Bottle gourd kababs. Kabab is a middle eastern and eastern Mediterranean dish . In India , Kababs come from mughalayi cuisine . Kabab is supposed to be made up of meat but this lauki ke kabab is purely veg kabab recipe.  Actually this recipe belongs to my grand mother . My father have been grown up eating this kabab and same with me. My mother learned this recipe from my grand mom. I have been grown up watching my mom and my grand mom cooking these kebabs . This is very simple recipe because it requires very ordinary spices which you can get in every kitchen .

Bhindi ki sabzi or Okra fry is very popular sabzi or curry in India. This sabzi is very simple and quick to cook. I often cook bhindi ki sabzi almost every week and my family loves to have it for lunch and dinner both. I mostly prefer to cook this sabzi for lunch to serve with dal , rice and rotis. Even This is perfect for lunch box packed with some parathas and reminds me my school days "Amazing".

Aloo methi sabzi is very popular dry vegetable sabzi in north india. It is cooked very often  in every house. Methi has slight bitter taste that is why when It is combined with potatoes , It taste amazing . My hubby and I love to have aloo methi with parathas. I usually cook aloo methi at home sometimes for lunch with dal - rice and sometimes for dinner with roti or parathas. This sabzi is very quick and easy, so anytime you can cook this.

Hi friends, Here I am with another delicious recipe of Bhindi or Okra called Raswali Bhindi Sabzi. Actually I got bored of having fried bhindi and dahiwali khatti bhindi  .So  I thought to try something new. Actually this Curried Okra is not new to me , I had this curry lots of time before marriage . This is my mom's recipe and she cook very often this curry at home. But I didn't cook this Okra curry before this. Here Mr. hubby and my FIL never tasted this Okra curry before.

Hi friends , Today I thought to share my family's one of favourite recipe " Kaddu ki kadhi". This Kaddu ki kadhi is a Chattisgarhi recipe. Before marriage , I have never heard about this kadhi. My sister-in-law introduced this recipe to me. So all credit goes to my SIL for telling me this amazing kadhi recipe. We all lave to eat kaddu ki kadhi with hot steaming rice.

Sookha kala chana is very delicious and spicy curry . Kala chana or desi chana is an excellent source  of protein and very good for growing up kids . So it is a very healthy recipe as well. It is one of my favorite breakfast recipe especially for Sundays . I love to have this dry chickpea curry with soozi halwa or jalebi. Just believe me this combo taste awesome.

Hi friends, here I am with a delicious recipe called  Pan Gojhwa (पन गोझवा ) . In my hometown we call it पन गोझवा . Pan Gojhwa  is one of my favorite local dishes. This Friday I cooked Pan Gojhwa and all credit goes to mom who told me the detailed recipe and cleared all my doubts while cooking over phone.  I don't know the details like where this dis come from and all but it is somewhere similar to Phare. So let us make  Pan Gojhwa .
