Balushahi Recipe | Badusha Recipe | How to make Balushahi or Badusha

  Balushahi or Badusha is a one of the traditional and popular Indian sweet. Balushahi is made with all purpose flour and later glazed with sugar syrup. Balushahi has crispy from outside and soft , flaky texture from inside. Balushahi is one of my favorite sweet to prepare on Diwali. Making Balushahi or Badusha is very easy if you use correct ratio of ingredients and follow the process .We can store Balushahi at room temperature for about one week. Ingredients A ll purpose flour or Maida 1 cup Ghee  1/4 cup Curd or Yoghurt 2 tbs Baking Soda 1/4 tsp Sugar 1 cup Water 1 cup Cardamom powder a pinch Pistachios chopped for garnishing Method Preparing dough Take all purpose flour or maida in a bowl. Add baking soda into the bowl and mix well. Add ghee into the bowl and mix it together by rubbing with fingers. Add yoghurt and mix well. In my native place (UP) , every small roadside sweet shop (halwayi shop) or tea stall vendors make fresh namak pare everyday for tea time. This recipe reminds me of my childhood days . There are so many shop where they serve some kind of potato curry ( famous as dumaloo there) over these Mathari and it taste amazing.
