Hi friends , today I am going to share a very traditional recipe from Chattisgarh India . Chattisgarh is popularly known as the " Rice bowl of India " for it produces rice on large scale . Rice is eaten widely in the state . Especially people in villages are dependent on rice. Muthia or rice flour dumplings are a very popular breakfast dish in every Chattisgarhi household. People enjoy muthia with tomato or tamatar chatney . This muthia is also known as Fara in Uttarpradesh .

Today's recipe is Chole Paneer or Cottage cheese and Chickpeas curry. In India , Chole is very popular delicious dish and by adding paneer , the whole dish becomes scrumptious . This dish is one of my favorite dishes because both the main ingredients chickpeas and cottage cheese  are my favorite . Even when I cooked this dish for first time , it came out so well and delicious . So its very easy recipe . Everyday is perfect to cook Chole paneer.

Stuffed okra or bharwa bhindi is very easy side dish recipe which can be ready in no time. So whenever you get bored of eating usual okra curry or sabzi , Stuffed okra is perfect for that change. In this recipe , I used very ordinary spices and you can moderate it according to your preference . If want to add more heat , you can add more chilli powder or you can add less chilli powder.

In Punjab, aloo gajar matar sabzi is very famous recipe and it's an everyday dish . We had this curry with parathas and it tastes awesome. You can have potato peas and carrot curry with parathas or rotis or any flat bread. This curry can be a good side dish with dal-rice.

Hi friends ! I am back with some amazing recipes after very busy days. Last few months , I have been so busy to post a recipe . Today I cooked such an amazing dish and I couldn't resist myself to post this recipe. This amazing dish is Lauki ke kabab or Bottle gourd kababs. Kabab is a middle eastern and eastern Mediterranean dish . In India , Kababs come from mughalayi cuisine . Kabab is supposed to be made up of meat but this lauki ke kabab is purely veg kabab recipe.  Actually this recipe belongs to my grand mother . My father have been grown up eating this kabab and same with me. My mother learned this recipe from my grand mom. I have been grown up watching my mom and my grand mom cooking these kebabs . This is very simple recipe because it requires very ordinary spices which you can get in every kitchen .

Hi friends, My last 2 weeks went so busy , so I couldn't post more than one recipe a week. Now ,I am here with very delicious recipe of dosa.Pesarattu is very popular in Andhrapradesh .Actually I even have never heard this word "Pesarattu" before 2 years. I had pesarattu dosa for first time at my telgu friend's place, It tasted amazing and she told me the recipe too. So all credit goes to my friend for telling me about these amazing dosas.

Aloo methi sabzi is very popular dry vegetable sabzi in north india. It is cooked very often  in every house. Methi has slight bitter taste that is why when It is combined with potatoes , It taste amazing . My hubby and I love to have aloo methi with parathas. I usually cook aloo methi at home sometimes for lunch with dal - rice and sometimes for dinner with roti or parathas. This sabzi is very quick and easy, so anytime you can cook this.

Mooli paratha is another kind of stuffed paratha in which we use mooli or radhish as stuffing . It's a North Indian recipe specially from punjab . Stuffed parathas are a good way of adding fresh veggies in your meal or breakfast. Even kids kids also love it. I learned this recipe from my mom . My mom ususlly make these yummy mooli parathas and carrot parathas mostly in winters . I still remember those winters having paratha with achar or pickel and a cup of tea.

Hi friends, Here I am with another delicious recipe of Bhindi or Okra called Raswali Bhindi Sabzi. Actually I got bored of having fried bhindi and dahiwali khatti bhindi  .So  I thought to try something new. Actually this Curried Okra is not new to me , I had this curry lots of time before marriage . This is my mom's recipe and she cook very often this curry at home. But I didn't cook this Okra curry before this. Here Mr. hubby and my FIL never tasted this Okra curry before.

Hi friends , Today I thought to share my family's one of favourite recipe " Kaddu ki kadhi". This Kaddu ki kadhi is a Chattisgarhi recipe. Before marriage , I have never heard about this kadhi. My sister-in-law introduced this recipe to me. So all credit goes to my SIL for telling me this amazing kadhi recipe. We all lave to eat kaddu ki kadhi with hot steaming rice.

Hi , Here I am with a recipe of Desi style Pasta which is perfect for brunch or lunch box.  This recipe belongs to my younger brother . He loves to cook Chinese and Italian food . Last winters , when I went my mom's home, he made these Desi style pasta with penne for brunch. Before eating , I was making fun of him when he was adding spices and tomato chunks. When I ate those pasta , they were amazing literally . I gobbled up all in no time.

Poha is very popular breakfast among MadhyaPradesh , Uttarpradesh , Maharashtra and Chattisgarh. In Maharashtra , people call it Kanda-Batata poha and it is famous as poha in MP , UP and Chattisgarh. Poha is a standard breakfast in MP and Chattisgarh.

Missi roti is very popular in UP and Punjab. It's a bread which is made up of the combination of  wheat flour , gramflour and few spices. Actually I gave a little healthy touch of methi or fenugreek leaves to this original missi roti and it has become Methi missi roti. Methi missi roti is a very healthy and delicious too. Even it's very good for kids. I always make Missi rotis for my DS twice in a week for breakfast. Missi rotis can be a very good and healthy breakfast. So friends let us start the recipe.

Hi friends, here I am with a delicious recipe called  Pan Gojhwa (पन गोझवा ) . In my hometown we call it पन गोझवा . Pan Gojhwa  is one of my favorite local dishes. This Friday I cooked Pan Gojhwa and all credit goes to mom who told me the detailed recipe and cleared all my doubts while cooking over phone.  I don't know the details like where this dis come from and all but it is somewhere similar to Phare. So let us make  Pan Gojhwa .

Hi friends, Today's featured recipe is Katahal ki sabzi or jackfruit sabzi. I like jackfruit a lot whether it is stir fried or curried. I love it either ways. These days you can easily get jackfruit in market . My mom always serves Katahal sabzi with Chana dal parathas (dalbhari ) and kheer. In Uttarpradesh , there is a local festival when we cook Katahal sabzi , dalbhari and kheer. This festival is known as Ganga Dasshehara.

Today I cooked Bhindi ki kadhi for lunch. My family loves this kadhi. This recipe is another variation of kadhi where we don't make pakoras. In this recipe we sauté okra and simmer it into gravy of  gramflour and yoghurt .

Curry leaves are one of the most common herbs which we use in our daily cooking. It is commonly used as seasoning and adds special flavor to every dish. It's also known as kadi patta. I hail from UP where most   dishes are made with the tadka of  onion , garlic or cumin seed. As far as I know my mom hardly use curry leaves. After marriage when I came to CG , I started adding curry leaves. I learned preserving curry leaves when we moved to abroad where Indian grocery stores are either very less or miles away. So how many times one can make a trip to stores for curry leaves. Here what I do to preserve curry leaves ......

Here again very simple and popular sabzi !!! Kaddu ki sabzi. Kaddu is also known as Kumhda,yellow squash or pumpkin. This recipe is very  simple but delicious. This recipe does not need more ingredients. This sabzi taste awesome with pooris. In this recipe , I am going to add potatoes too. So you can say this is the recipe of Aloo kaddu ki sabzi !.
